2015 Goals Update

It’s almost the halfway point for this year and I thought I would check in with a little update on how I’m doing with reaching my goals for the year. I never actually shared what all my goals were. So, I guess you’ll get to see some of those now 🙂 This isn’t the complete list, but it’s some of the big ones:

1. Use Youversion Bible reading plans for my daily reading time.

I started strong with this. I made a list of the shortest books of the Bible and started by reading them. I’ve actually check off quite a few books by reading it that way. I slacked for a while, but I’m back on track now.

2. Finish our Emergency Fund by the end of the year.

We’re close to being on track with this. We lost a little momentum in the last 3 months because of medical, dental and counseling expenses. I can say for sure that we wouldn’t be as far along as we are if this hadn’t been a very serious goal that we really wanted to reach this year. Because of the different things that have come up, some other savings accounts are not as far along as I was hoping they would be– but that is by design because we are prioritizing the EFund.

3. Read a certain number of books. (I don’t remember the number now– I’m really not trying to be mysterious).

I’ve been alternating between fiction and non-fiction books. I finished all of the Hunger Games books, Unbroken, Say Goodbye to Survival Mode, and a handful of other books that I can’t think of right now, but they are written down somewhere upstairs.

4. Establish a good bedtime routine.

This is a goal that has been newly added to my list. My days go so much better if I make sure things are in order before I go to sleep.
