Sometimes We Get It Wrong

Conceal. Don’t Feel.

Sometimes we get it really wrong– like Elsa and Anna’s parents:

When life is hard, some of us say to God, “So, what you’re saying is that I need to . . .”

And we fill in the blanks with the wrong thing:

  • Work harder
  • Don’t tell anyone my life is difficult
  • Figure out the “how”

When God gives us an assignment, he doesn’t always show us the “how”. Obedience doesn’t mean knowing all the details. It means taking the next baby step forward.

We get it wrong when we try to deal with the things that has He hasn’t assigned to us yet. Or we put words in His mouth. Just take the next clear step. It will probably be small, but it will be the right one.
