Saturday Sundries: April 23

We’re in the middle of the most amazingly gorgeous weather right now and all I want to do is sit and enjoy the sunshine.

We’re getting ready to celebrate our oldest’s 11th birthday this weekend. Whoa!? How did that happen?! Today and tomorrow we will celebrate him with presents, cake, his favorite foods and a visit from the grandparents.

In the meantime, these are some of my favorite reads from this week:

Five Blogs To Read If You Forget Who You Are – I needed this reminder and so do you.

What I Wish I Knew Before I Wrote My First Book – This is a link to a podcast. Part 1 & 2 are now available. I’ve listened to the first one and can’t wait for the second one.

Enough– A powerful post by Michele Cushatt that speaks to anyone who ever tried to create something and struggled with comparison and platform building.

On the importance of establishing local connections after a move– This one is mine. It’s been on my mind for a couple years, actually. It was sitting in my drafts folder and I finally decided to finish it.
