30 Days of Letting Go Project, Day 3

Letting go of folding the kids’ laundry has been a huge success. Here’s a little secret- I actually wrote those previous posts about a month ago. I have not folded their clothes for a month! It has been the easiest thing to hand over to them. Even my husband declared that I was a genius!

I think the hardest thing about letting go of some of the tasks I do around the house is that the easiest ones to hand off are the ones that I kind of enjoy doing sometimes. I would rather have them take over cleaning the toilets or the dishes (and they will some day!). I was impressed with how quickly our youngest proved to me that he actually could fold his clothes. He may be a clothes folding savant.

And, in case you wonder how I look when working on my own laundry, wonder no longer:

Tomorrow, I’m starting to work on a new BIG thing I need to let go of. Thanks for sticking with me.
